Air Blow Dry Bar

Hey Loves!

If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw my little happy dance after I got my hair done the other day. I wanted to give a well-deserved shout out to my little happy place {and awesome stylist @Meghan Bomboy}. Every time I go there Meghan perfectly captures what I am looking for while still keeping my hair looking natural!

What I Ask For || Picture Perfect Hair

I always ask for long layers, balayage, and add conditioning treatment to give my hair some TLC. I am #blessed and I can normally get away with getting my hair redone around twice a year. Balayage is super low maintenance {my favorite part} so I can go awhile without having to get it touched up. Also, it is so important to get good products for your hair if you do get it colored. I fell victim to buying the cheapest shampoo and stuff for my hair but if you really want to maintain your color get some good shampoo and conditioner to support that!

Shop some of my hair favorites below! {Those awesome products help my maintain my balayage for a whole 6 months!}

RITUAL

Hey, Y'all!

I am so so excited to be sharing this week's post with you all because I get to partner with a company that has done WONDERS for my health. A couple weeks ago I dished on how much I love HUM Nutrition and while I do absolutely love their supplements, their multivitamin just does not really do it for me. A couple months ago I tried out RITUAL, an everyday multivitamin subscription service. Within the first week, I noticed a difference in my energy, skin, and overall health. I am prone to getting sick when I am stressed {and ya girl here loves taking on as much as possible}. When I was taking this regularly I did not get sick during finals {this is a milestone for me Y'all} and when I fell off the wagon with all things health and fitness once school was over I instantly saw an awful decline in my immune system, energy, and skin. I am so happy to be taking these regularly again and am vowing to share with you all how I am seeing a difference in my energy levels/skin/all that good stuff over on my Instagram {@whitandwit} weekly so that Y'all can see just how great Ritual is! I am urging Y'all to get in the habit of taking a multivitamin. It is so important {really I wished I listened to my mom sooner} and when your body is getting what it needs it will treat you right! I hate getting sick and when I am not taking vitamins actively I am super prone to having to check out a couple of days because I am always on the go.

Okay. Enough of me rambling let's get on to talking about what makes Ritual so great!

Ritual does just what their mission states. The wonderful humans behind this company make feeling great ridiculously simple. I don't know about Y'all, but I want to know what is going into my body.  I also don't want to be googling what the words mean on the ingredient list of what I am consuming but giiiirrrllll don't worry the people at Ritual got you!

All the goodness above is what is in Ritual's multivitamin. Nothing more, nothing less. The simplicity does not stop there though. Here is a run down on what makes Ritual so great!

1. Simple > Take 2 a day. Morning or Night!

2. Convenience > Your vitamins are sent to you every month! If you do not need a refill because maybe you forgot a couple of days, No Worries, you can simply skip a month right from your account! Hassle free!

3. Price > $1 a day! A subscription is $30 a month {and mail day is always super fun!}

4. Branding > Their branding is the bomb.com. Seriously, they give you a cute little sticker to remind you to take your vitamins!

Everyday Skincare Routine

Hi, loves!

Skincare is one of my absolute favorite topics to share with others. Ever since I can remember I have always had a love and interest for all things skincare {even though my skin has not always been the best}. I am so excited to share with you all the products that make my skin glow and minimize breakouts. I was never blessed with amazing skin {thanks to genetics} but have been able to conquer my breakouts and hyperpigmentation with these products that I use EVERYDAY. These are my holy grail products, not kidding. Yes, some of them are pricey. Yes, I know not everyone will be willing to splurge on their skin like this. However, since a young age, I have been desperate for clear skin and these products deliver that for me. So let's dive in!

Step 1 | Pre-Cleanse & Make Up Removal | Clinique

Before reaching for my Clarisonic and cleanser I always do a pre-cleanse this insures that I am getting that deep clean to really clear out my pores. I adore the Clinique Take The Day Off Balm! It does an awesome job at breaking down make up {yes even waterproof mascra} and that oil that builds up throughout the day. This balm melts into your skin after applying light circular motions and transforms into a smooth and silky oil. If the thought of applying balm directly to your face scares you, from my experience it is the most effective way in pre-cleansing my skin for a deep clean.

Step 2 | Cleanse | First Aid Beauty + Clarisonic

I mentioned this in my "Favorite Beauty Gadgets" post but I love my Clarisonic! I pair up First Aid Beauty's Face Cleanser + my Clarisonic and VIOLA clean and smooth skin. The cleanser is pretty much as basic as it gets. Its fragrance-free and super gentle. It does its job {aka removes dirt, grime, residue, all that jazz}.

{Honorable Mention} Purity by Philosophy is also an amazing cleanser! I tend to alternate the two. Both are gentle and do exactly what I need!

Step 3 | Serum | Ole Henrikson

I have recently discovered the goodness of serums! This little baby is packed with vitamin C and it has done WONDERS for my skin. Really, just try it! Go to Sephora and ask for a sample before dishing out your $$$. However, once I added this into my skin care routine my skin has been more bright, plump, and has less hyper pigmentation.

Step 4 | Moisturize | Sunday Riley

I tried samples & samples of this stuff before purchasing because I did not want to bite the bullet on splurging on a moisturizer but I am so happy I DID! I love Sunday Riley's products but they are a bit high for my student budget. However, if I had to recommend one thing this would be it! This stuff delivers! It is thick and creamy, but is not too heavy for the summer heat!

Step 5 | TLC > Eye Care | Shiseido

Even in my early 20s I know it is so so important to nurture every part of my face at an early age. I did research on eye creams {because Mama did not raise no fool} and wanted to get the most bang for my buck. With this cream, a little goes a long way! My under eyes are bright & BONUS no dark circles after a late night of studying!

Step 6 | Spot Treatment | Mario Badescu

Even when I am killing the game with my skin care I do have problem areas. I workout a lot and am a part-time spin instructor. I tend to get breakouts along my hairline from sweating during a workout but I just pop some of this on and whatever problem area I had is literally gone if not the next day then the following day.

Step 7 | Toner Water | Mario Badescu

I love toner water! I am a toner water junky. I spray it on myself when I wake up, as a makeup setter, throughout the day as a pick me up, etc. Mario Badescu is very inexpensive and this gem is so refreshing! Especially with how hot it has been, it's awesome to use on sunburns and what not!

{Honorable Mention} LUSH Tea Tree Toner is great to spray on before and after the gym! Tea Tree is a natural antibacterial killer so this is my go to in between spin and class!

I tend to add a face mask in there about every other night but I will have a roundup of all those goodies for you all soon {I am a face mask fanatic}! Comment below your holy grail skincare products or if you have tried any of these items before!

Xoxo, Whit

HUM Nutrition

Hey, Y'all!

Today I am sharing my favorite vitamins and supplements! {This should be a post to make my mama proud because she literally asks me if I take my vitamins every day} I started using HUM Nutrition a little over a year ago and let me tell you besides the aesthetically pleasing packaging, I swear this stuff has become my new best friend. I am going to tell you a little about each of their products that I have tried and wrap it up with my top 3!

A Little About The Brand

HUM Nutrition is revolutionizing the beauty nutrition world by connecting people with a free nutritionist to analyze their health needs through the convenience of quick and online service. From their branding to their generous discounts it is hard for any young adult to say no to jumping on the health kick train! {Another +: When your mom calls and asks if you have been taking your vitamins you can proudly say YES!}

My Box This Month

First, let's admire how aesthetically pleasing their packaging is. This month I ordered Daily Cleanse, Ripped Rooster, and Base Control. Daily Cleanse is a favorite of mine it claims (& does) clarify your skin and bodies of toxins. This was a repurchase for me and when I notice a difference in my skin when I am not using it religiously. Ripped Roster is a new one for me. HUM's website notes that this is a fat burning supplement (@Mom just ignore that I bought this). I have not dived into this one yet, but if it does work I will give y'all an update! I also purchased Base Control this month to try to steer myself off of Ritual's {post coming soon about this one} multivitamin. I am about a week into taking this and am not all that impressed. I will probably switch back to Ritual {I was just trying to save some $$$ by switching to HUM}.

What You Have Got To Try

My top three are definitely Flatter Me, Daily Cleanse, and Gut Instinct. Flatter Me is great for bloating! I am someone who suffers from major food baby probs. I eat one meal and no joke look like I could be carrying. Flatter Me really eliminates that problem for me and leaves me feeling great after a big meal. Daily Cleanse is awesome for clearing toxins from the skin and body. My skin has been noticeably brighter and has had fewer breakouts when I actively take this. Gut Instinct is a probiotic and let me tell you this one ROCKS. If you are not sure what probiotics do, I suggest you do a quick little google search to learn all about them!

I also love love love Skinny Bird, but it's another weight loss supplement and I do not want to suggest it to someone who does not need it! However, I personally love it and I feel great after taking it!

Uber Energy is great to replace that morning cup of coffee and is a life saver during crazy test weeks {Hello Midterms and Finals!}

If you do choose to try out HUM you can sign up to receive $10 off and if you buy 3+ items you get additional discounts! Here is my referral code that you can input on their website when looking at all the goodness they offer {Code: FE335}. If you do try it out let me know in the comments below and/or let me know what you would love to try!

Favorite Beauty Gadgets

Hey, Y'all!

So excited to be sharing my favorite beauty gadgets with you all today! I am a sucker for new technology {especially if it makes getting ready in the morning easier}. I have accumulated quite the collection over MANY years and love each and every one of these products so much I wanted to spill the tea on them. Enjoy!

Simple Human | 8 Inch Sensor Mirror

This is by far one of the best Christmas gifts I was ever given! This mirror has a motion sensor so when your face approaches it lights up {I am realizing how nerdy my excitement over this sounds as I type it out}. The bulbs also never burn out so you just charge it when needed. It's also wireless so that's another gold star in my opinion. All that cool stuff aside though, this mirror shows you EVERYTHING and the light adjusts to give you optimal amount of light so when you leave the house your makeup looks #flawless.

Clarisonic | Mia

So I got this little life saver in high school and still religiously use it! Pretty sure mine is like one of the first Mia's they came out with, but I am sure it is just as effective as the newer ones. I use it about every other night for some extra TLC for my face. I have AWFUL blackheads but this little gem is great at removing dead skin and deep cleaning those pores. Just make sure to regularly change those brush heads, {TIP: You can buy them on Ebay//Amazon WAY CHEAPER saving you some $$$$}

Sonicare | DiamondClean

Another one of my favorite gifts! I promise once you switch to a toothbrush like this, you can never go back. I never understood why people would drop some major $$$$ on a toothbrush but if you want to treat yourself to something nice that you will use every day, this is a purchase you will not regret. {TIP: Just like the Clarisonic brush heads you can buy these on Ebay//Amazon, or my favorite, in bulk from Costco or Sam's!}

T3 | Volumizing Hot Rollers Luxe Set

My hair is naturally very coarse and curly, so it takes FOREVER for me to do my hair. These awesome T3 rollers really help extend my blowouts and/or give me literally the same {fresh out of the salon} look. Best part? I am someone who gets ready in 30 minutes or less {Ya girl loves her sleep}. So I just throw these on when I roll out of bed, do my makeup, get dressed, make a mean bowl of oatmeal, and then take these bad girls out. No fuss and no more styling after that!

I hope you all enjoyed this short little blog post! Comment below some of your fave beauty gadgets!
